Re-purposed Baby Headbands

Good evening everyone!! I made these on the spur of the moment this afternoon. The babies were sleeping and I really just needed to make something!! So, I went down to my craft room and noticed a pile of of old t-shirts I had sitting out and went to town.

To start off, cut 3 long thin strips of fabric. Tie all 3 of them together at the top and braid it. Then hand sew across the top of the braid just under the knot. This way you can cut the bulky knot off. Do the same thing at the bottom of the braid.

Bring the ends together and hot glue a small piece of fabric around both ends. This will be the headband part.

Next cut another slightly larger strip of fabric and tie a knot at one end. Glue this down onto a circular piece of fabric.

Then start twisting and gluing the rosette around. After going around a few times, and start on the other end.

Tie another knot and start twisting this one the opposite direction. Switch back and forth until you have met in the middle. When you are finished, you will glue this onto the headband where the two ends had come together.

Use another circle of fabric to attach the rosettes to the headband.

That's it! Pretty cute, don't you think? Stretchy t-shirts work best. That way, it will stretch with your babies head.
